Shrine from the sea

Entanglement

Entanglement, the ropes go this way and that

twisting and turning in the deep current,

fixing fast to each other

stretched, tensed, till no fingers

can prise them apart.

Locked in a knot,

a Gordion knot, that binds and holds,

Flails and frays at the edges ,

till the burnished knot 

whitened by salt and sea is

indissoluble.
